Get with the "Pro"gram!

If you can believe it tomorrow is May 1st and kids will be out of school before you can blink.  All of my summer camps are filling fast so if you are interested in getting your kids out playing some golf and tennis this summer we have plenty of opportunities.  Please follow the link and visit our website for more information.

Something you might not know about your GCC Golf Shop!

GCC is your one stop location to get your golf clubs regripped! Casey and I can professional install any grip on your clubs with a quick turnaround!  It is recommended that you have our grips done twice a year!

GCC Swim Team Sign-ups!

With a NEW pool we need an undefeated swim team and the only way to accomplish that is to have a lot of swimmers!  Please come sign your kids up for a summer of fun swimming on the GCC swim team.  Last year my son Jace and daughter Ella joined the team for the first time and had so much fun.  They are excited to compete again!  Please call me at 827-6015 if you have any questions otherwise I look forward to seeing you at practice!

On May 18 & 19 don't miss the GCC 3 Man!  I like to call this the Spring Member Guest because teams can include (1 Member & 2 Guests, 2 members & 1 Guest, or 3 members)  Guests will not have to pay a guest fee all weekend and the tournament even includes a practice round Friday (Cart Fees still apply).  The price of the tournament is only $70 and that includes lunch on Saturday.  Handicaps are not necessary because the field will be flighted on Saturday based on the first round scores.  Please sign up quickly because this event will sell out fast!

Get with the "Pro"gram!

300 pounds of crawfish are in Memphis and ready for the GCC Crawfish Boil Tomorrow!  With a high of 68 and Sunny you cannot ask for a better evening to enjoy your friends at GCC!  Even if you are not a fan of Crawfish make plans to attend tomorrow.  Chef Ronnie will have plenty of mouth watering items to choose from including a kids buffet for all the little ones!  It will be fun for the whole family with a bouncy, Rock Climbing Slide and of course the one and only Kathryn Stallins Band.  Fun begins at 4:30 pm with music at 5 pm and dinner at 5:30 pm!

Saturday - Parent Child golf tournament with tee times beginning at 1:36 pm. Also we have the Crawfish Boil beginning at 4:30 pm (We will have a kids buffet a bouncy plus rock climbing wall so it will be fun for the entire family!)

Sunday - We will finish the fun filled week with the Adams Fitting Day from 11 am - 4 pm.  Call 754-6453 to make an appointment or just come out and try their latest equipment!

Don't forget to sign up for the Anderson Classic which is the Season long Match Play Golf Tournament!  Teams will consist of two members and the format is match play using best ball.  The field will consist of 32 teams and there will be a window of a month to complete each match.  This is such a fun tournament and the field is almost full with only 3 spots still available so call 754-6453 to sign up!

Get with the "Pro"gram!

We have another "BIG" Week in store for the membership!  The main event being the Crawfish Boil Saturday at 4:30 pm.  With a forecasted high of mid 60's and no rain GCC will be the place to be.  Come hang out and listen to The Katherine Stallins band while eating Crawfish fresh from Louisiana!

This is the week to be a member at GCC, it seems like every day there is something exciting to do!  So much so I need to start renting out beds!

Wednesday - GCC 2 Man starting at 5:30 pm

Thursday - The Cleveland Tour Van comes to GCC from 3-7 pm.  Call 754-6453 to make an appointment or just come out and try their latest equipment!

Friday - Cobra Demo Day from 12-5 pm.  Also we have the Couples 9 hole scramble beginning at 5:30 pm

Last week I forgot to announce the winners of the GCC March Madness Challenge!  This year we had three winners!  First went to Warwick Garner and we had a tie for second Frank Lane and Kerry Roby!  Congratulations!

Have you logged on to the Members Only portal on our website?  If not, you are missing the chance to quickly and easily manage your account.  Just to highlight some of the things you have access to 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week:  you may view your activity for any period of time you want to audit, and see a copy of the ticket for that charge; you may view copies of statements as far back as February 2007; you may make payments online using your credit or debit card; you may view your payment history; and you may set up the auto pay balance feature which allows us to debit your credit or debit card automatically on the 20^th of each month for the balance on your last statement.  There is also an online member roster listing all the current members.  You may, of course, opt to hide any or all of your information from the general membership.  We encourage you to familiarize yourself with and use these informative tools.  If you are not already set up to get to your account information through the members only portal, call the accounting office at 360-8977 or the club office at 754-7241 and we will set you up to take advantage of this feature.  Once you have been set up you will simply log on to our website at www.germantowncountryclub.com and click on “Membership” at the top right of your screen and then click on “Member Login”.  This will bring up the sign on screen so that you can get to your account information.  Log on and check it out soon.

Get with the "Pro"gram!

With warm weather finally here the fairways are already a lush green!  Doug Estes will be fertilizing the entire golf course this week so be ready for GCC to pop!  I am excited to announce that today we have "NEW" range balls!  On Sunday we got rid of the old balls and put 600 dozen brand new balls into circulation!

On Friday from 2-6 pm we have the Titleist Fitting Day!  We only have a couple of appointments available so call 754-6453 to make your appointment.  Members are welcome to come out even if you do not have an appointment for a fitting and try out the latest and greatest that Titleist has to offer!
