Covering the greens beginning at 3 pm today! (Tee off before 12:45 pm and you will still have time to play 18 holes!)

With the lows forecasted to be 25 tonight, highs tomorrow only reaching 39, and a low temperature of 20 tomorrow night the decision has been made to begin covering today at 3 pm.  We plan on uncovering the greens Sunday morning when the temperatures warrant and will hopefully have the golf course open by noon.

For the golfers you will get two days of golf in this weekend (Today & Sunday).  Today looks like a great day with the highs forecasted to reach 50 with full sun and no wind.  That will feel warm I bet someone could even wear shorts!  Ha!  Sunday also looks good with highs forecasted back into the upper 40's!

In my mind this works out perfect golf today, Breakfast with Santa & Parade tomorrow then golf on Sunday.  Perfect weekend!

I have attached the website for the Germantown Holiday parade on Saturday to allow you to see the details http://www.germantown-tn.gov/index.aspx?page=562&recordid=7838 .  Members are welcome to park in the club parking lot then come and get a cart to take you to #17 to watch the parade.  No rain this year (Thankfully) and the best way to watch the parade is to come and have lunch before then grab a roady drink (Hot or Cold) and enjoy!  Make sure your kids have a bag because in the past there is plenty of candy flying!

Christmas Open House Raffle!

GLGA Ladies Christmas Party!

Winter Guest Rates!

From November 1, 2011 - February 29, 2012 GCC members will be able to bring guests out to play for a reduced fee.  I have reduced the guest fee by $10 so now guests can play 18 holes at the beautiful Germantown Country Club for only $66 including cart.  If your guest happens to be a family member then the rate is even lower with family members playing for $56 including cart!  The golf course will be in great shape all winter long so make sure you book your tee time and take advantage of the discount!

Video Golf Lessons with PGA Professional Keith Penke!

This is the perfect time of year to work on your golf game now that the weather has cooled off.  For anyone interested in seeing their golf swing I offer Video Golf Lessons using the V1 Golf which is the latest technology in video training.  I set my equipment up on the back of the range and students are able to see every swing as soon as the ball is hit.  Always remember if you want to become the best you have to practice with the best!  Please give me a call at 901-827-6015 to schedule your next lesson!
